Eastman Chemical on Sunday said an explosion and fire that occurred at its Jefferson Hills, Pa., plant originated in one of the site’s process units. Via WTAE in Pittsburgh, the Saturday night incident prompted shelter-in-place orders for two boroughs. One of the orders was lifted after local officials deemed air quality acceptable and decided there was no danger to residents. The fire was quickly extinguished and there were no injuries.
