Enterprise Products Partners will add a ninth NGL fractionator to its Mont Belvieu, Texas, complex, the company announced today. The new fractionator will have a nameplate capacity of 85,000 barrels per day and is expected to begin operating in January 2016. The expansion will bring Enterprise’s gross nameplate NGL fractionation capacity in Mont Belvieu to 755,000 barrels per day and total capacity to 1.2 million barrels per day. Enterprise will also have approximately 265,000 barrels per day of propane production capacity upon completion of the fractionator.
Enterprise said it had secured permits and emission credits for the ninth fractionator and a 10th unit of similar size. The company started up its eighth NGL fractionator at Mont Belvieu last November.
