Renewable Energy Group (REG) will have its Geismar, Louisiana, plant — which was damaged by an explosion and fire last month — back on line by the end of January, WAFB-TV in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, reports. The explosion was triggered by a hydrogen release from a line. The resulting fire injured four people.
A fire at the Geismar plant in April injured two people and caused structural damage. REG CEO Daniel Oh said last month’s fire caused less damage than the April incident.
