Williams Partners has secured contracts to ship natural gas to two Texas LNG export terminals via its Transco pipeline. The Gulf Connector expansion will deliver gas for Cheniere Energy’s Corpus Christi Liquefaction project and a shipper at the Freeport LNG facility in Freeport, Texas. Both facilities are under construction.
Williams’ previously announced Gulf Trace pipeline — to be completed in 2017 — is set to ship gas to Cheniere’s Sabine Pass LNG terminal. Sabine Pass is expected to begin shipping LNG later this month or in March.
