Total mileage of pipelines transporting crude oil, refined petroleum products and NGLs in the U.S. grew 9.3% in the past five years, according to a new report. Crude oil pipeline mileage increased 15.5% during that time period, and barrels of oil delivered by pipelines grew 11.3% between 2012 and 2013. Crude oil and petroleum products transported by liquids pipelines rose 6.2% from 2012 to 2013.
The Association of Oil Pipelines and the American Petroleum Institute compiled the report.
