A natural gas tank in western Wyoming owned by EOG Resources exploded on Tuesday, injuring four workers. Via the Associated Press, the blast occurred as maintenance workers were cleaning out the tank. Three of the injured workers were taken to a hospital in Salt Lake City and the other was treated locally and released. Two of the workers are EOG employees and the others are contract workers.
The tank is located about 15 miles from the Williams natural gas processing plant in Opal, Wyo., that exploded and caught fire in April.
UPDATE: The Associated Press reports that one of the workers injured in the explosion has died.
