BIC Alliance Privacy and Terms of Service

Safeguarding the privacy of our audience is very important to BIC Alliance.  This Privacy Statement applies to BIC Alliance and BIC Magazine publications, websites, e-newsletters, webinars and other digital media and tells you how you can verify the accuracy of your personal data and how you can request that we update or delete it.

Please note that some BIC Alliance media may contain advertisements for products and services from third parties, and may contain links to external sites. This privacy statement does not cover the separate activities of such third parties and external sites, which may have their own respective privacy policies, and you should consult those third-party sites for their respective privacy policies.

BIC Alliance uses cookies to collect website usage data only for analytical and statistical purposes and to improve our services.  We use targeting cookies to deliver advertising that is relevant to your interests. These cookies can remember that your device has visited our site. This information may be shared with our advertising network to deliver the advertising and help measure the effectiveness of an advertising campaign.  We do not provide any personal information that we collect to advertisers.

Most web browsers accept cookies by default, but if you prefer, you can change your browser to prevent that or to notify you each time a cookie is set.  You can also learn more about cookies in general by visiting www.allaboutcookies.org which includes additional useful information on cookies and how to block cookies using different types of browsers.

Information submitted by subscribers may be used to meet our business interests in understanding how people use our sites.  So that we can better understand our users` needs, we track responses to our emails - for example, to see which links are the most popular in newsletters, and to log and follow up responses to our marketing messages.

If you register for or subscribe to BIC publications, products or services, you may provide certain data to us, such as name, job title, company name, address, telephone number, email address and business-related demographic information.  Such data on individuals who have been identified as likely to be interested in and/or benefit from the type of media published by BIC Alliance, its affiliates and its marketing partners, may be aggregated from third party sources and used in compliance with applicable privacy laws until such individuals opt out of receiving certain or all communications from BIC Alliance.  Data collected may be used by BIC Alliance and member companies to contact you by email, telephone and/or mail with information or marketing material related to your business.  Where required by law, we will only send these marketing materials with your prior consent.

Marketing emails from BIC Alliance and its subsidiaries contain instructions on how to opt-out of or set your preferences for emails from the company or use of your data, typically by clicking on a link entitled “unsubscribe/email preferences.”

Your personal data will not be used for any other purpose without obtaining your prior consent.  All BIC employees and contractors, i.e., those who process your data on behalf of BIC Alliance, who have access to, and are associated with the processing of your personal data, are obliged to keep the information confidential and not use it for any other purpose than to carry out the services they are performing for BIC.

If you wish to know whether we are keeping personal data about you, or if you have an inquiry about our privacy policy or wish to exercise your rights (including, subject to applicable law, the right to access your personal data, the right to have personal data corrected or deleted, the right to restrict our use of personal data, the right to object to our uses of personal data, and the right to have personal data transmitted in electronic form to you or a third party) over your personal data, in relation to any of the sites, you can contact the Data Manager at Data@bicalliance.com.

By using our site, you consent to our online privacy policy.
