Data format: Terminal company name, with capacity in parentheses if available, in thousands of barrels (k), or millions of barrels (M). For brevity, terms such as LLC, LP, Co., and Inc. have been dropped from company names.
Dataset sources: EIA.gov, U.S. Energy Information Administration. Petroleum Product Terminals in the U.S. Gulf Coast region with a total bulk shell storage capacity of 50,000 barrels or more or can receive volumes from tanker, barge, or pipeline as of June 2023, data updated June 2024. Dataset comes from U.S. Energy Information Administration, Form EIA-815, Monthly Bulk Terminal and Blender Report. Facilities’ locations and capacity data are approximate based on research of publicly available information from sources such as Federal agencies and company websites.
