The Associated Press reports that an animal feed processing plant in Omaha, Neb., suffered an explosion and partial building collapse on Monday. Local authorities said there were fatalities in the blast, which occurred at an International Nutrition facility, but no specific number was given. There were 38 people in the building when the explosion took place. Ten people were hospitalized, four of whom are in critical condition. It is not yet clear what caused the explosion, but Omaha’s fire chief told the AP there were no hazardous chemicals involved.
