Every year, Kinder Morgan's corporate contractor safety group awards its safest contractor. The award was recently presented to CIMA Services LP, one of Kinder Morgan's nested contractors in the Gulf Coast region, for its work in 2016. CIMA provides a variety of services to Kinder Morgan's area engineering group as well as other business units. Some of CIMA's services include mechanical work, environmental services, civil construction, coatings and waste transportation/disposal.
"Throughout 2016, CIMA worked on over 300 jobs for us with a total of 179,697 man-hours, and the company maintained an overall TRIR of zero," said Kinder Morgan Corporate Contractor Safety Director Rick Slaugh. "Thank you to CIMA for working safely in our terminals, and we encourage all our contractors to have the goal of zero."
