La Porte Fire and EMS responded to a report of an explosion at the Linde Gas facility on Strang Road, La Porte’s Office of Emergency Management stated on its Facebook page.
The unit was shut down and the system depressurized, a later post stated.
Click 2 Houston reported the company released a statement that a line breach at the Linde gases plant resulted in a loud noise. The plant was shut down and secured. The release of gas stopped and “there is no risk to the surrounding community.”
All employees are safe and accounted for, and there are no reported injuries.
