Dow on Monday said its ethylene cracker in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta, is running at reduced operating rates after an unplanned outage July 22. The company said in a statement repairs are being made to restore the Fort Saskatchewan unit to full production. Dow said approximately 100 kilotons of ethylene production will be lost as a result of the outage.
Dow's Fort Saskatchewan site is one of two plants it operates in Alberta. It is one of the largest petrochemical complexes in Canada.
