Dow Chemical is performing planned maintenance on a new propane dehydrogenation (PDH) unit at its Oyster Creek site in Freeport, Texas. Dow said in a statement it is working to repair an exchanger. The PDH unit began commercial operations in December and was running at full capacity earlier this month.
Dow built the unit to replace purchased propylene, enabling more growth in the North America and South America markets.
