Tesoro is planning a six-to-10-week turnaround at its Kenai, Alaska, refinery beginning in April or May. Via the Peninsula Clarion, Tesoro Kenai Refinery Vice President Cameron Hunt said on Wednesday the turnaround would include repairs to valves and pressure transmitters and upgrades to a flare gas recovery unit that is being installed. Hunt said the work on the flare unit is part of a consent decree between Tesoro and other refiners and the EPA.
