Valero is starting up a $350 million, 70,000-barrel-per-day crude topping unit at its Corpus Christi, Texas, refinery, Reuters reports. Valero said the unit would not increase the refinery’s capacity, but it would allow it to process lighter crudes.
The company is also set to start up a $400 million, 90,000-barrel-per-day topping unit at its Houston refinery in the first half of 2016.
