Motiva Enterprises is planning to overhaul the 92,000-barrel-per-day FCCU at its Convent, Louisiana, refinery in October, Reuters reports. Sources say the refinery had proposed closing the FCCU — which would require $180 million in maintenance through 2018 to stay in operation and comply with Tier III regulations — but it will not be ready to do so before the middle of next year. The 35-day overhaul could cost up to $75 million.
