The American Fuel & Petrochemical Manufacturers (AFPM) on Wednesday filed suit against the EPA over the agency’s Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS) for 2014, 2015 and 2016. AFPM President Chet Thompson said in a statement the EPA failed to give refiners adequate lead time to comply and used flawed methodologies in setting its targeted volumes.
The EPA set its renewable fuel targets for all three years last November.
