Calumet Specialty Products recently completed a $450 million project at its refinery in Great Falls, Montana. Via the Great Falls Tribune, Calumet added a new unit to process heavy sour crudes, a hydrocracker, a hydrogen plant and a fuel gas treatment unit. A local development authority official said at an event on Wednesday it was the largest investment by a company ever in Cascade County.
Calumet also recently announced the retirement of Great Falls refinery manager Dana Leach, who has held the job for the past 10 years. He will be succeeded by Wayne Leiker, who previously served as manager of a refinery in Corpus Christi, Texas.
Calumet purchased the 9,800-barrel-per-day Great Falls refinery in 2012.
