Flint Hills Resources today announced it broke ground on a $600 million project to upgrade its West refinery in Corpus Christi, Texas. Flint Hills said the project would make the refinery capable of processing 100% domestic crude. The refinery currently processes approximately 230,000 barrels per day.
Flint Hills said the project would require around 2,000 contractors and be complete in 36 months.
