Phillips 66 has begun operations at its new 100,000-barrel-per-day NGLs fractionator at its Sweeny complex in Old Ocean, Texas, the company announced today. Bob Herman, executive vice president of Midstream for Phillips 66, called it a “significant milestone” and said more capacity would be added in the future.
Phillips 66 is delivering LPGs from the new fractionator to local customers via pipeline and will supply global markets upon the completion of its new Freeport, Texas, export terminal in the second half of 2016. Phillips 66 is investing $3 billion on the two projects.
