Westlake Chemical today celebrated the expansion of its Calvert City, Ky., vinyls complex. Westlake spent more than $300 million expanding ethylene production capacity at the site and converting its feedstock from propane to ethane. Westlake also expanded the site’s PVC resin capacity. Kentucky Gov. Steve Beshear was among a group of state and local officials who attended a ceremony to dedicate the expansion.
Westlake announced last week it would expand ethylene production capacity at its Lake Charles, La., plant.
