Williams Partners on Thursday said full production and ethylene sales at its Geismar, La., olefins plant would resume in the fourth quarter of 2014. Williams executives previously said the plant would start up in late July. Williams Senior Vice President for NGL & Petchem Services John R. Dearborn said the company opted in early July to install 12 pressure safety valves and replace several sections of piping at the Geismar plant after conducting over-pressure studies.
The Geismar plant was the site of a June 2013 explosion that killed two people.
