Enterprise Products Partners is considering expanding the new ethane export terminal it is building on the Houston Ship Channel, the company announced today.
Enterprise said it had secured a new long-term contract to provide storage, transportation, refrigeration and loading services from the new terminal, bringing total committed capacity to approximately 85%.
“This key addition to our customer base brings a significant increase in long-term capacity commitments, further supporting development of the world’s largest ethane export terminal,” said Enterprise COO A.J. “Jim” Teague.
The new terminal, to be located at Enterprise’s Morgan’s Point facility on the ship channel, is set to be complete in the third quarter of 2016.
