Dallas-based Summit Midstream Partners today announced it would invest a total of $300 million in four new midstream projects in the Bakken shale. Summit subisidary Tioga Midstream has agreed with a Bakken producer to develop new crude oil, water and natural gas gathering infrastructure in Williams County, N.D. Also in Williams County, Summit subsidiary Meadowlark Midstream Co. has agreed with Kodiak Oil & Gas Corp. to expand its Polar System to connect 60 well pads over the next several years.
Meadowlark has also agreed to build a new crude oil truck unloading station and crude oil pipeline serving Global Partners’ oil storage facility at the Stampede rail terminal in Burke County, N.D. Finally, Meadowlark is installing crude oil pipeline to expand its system in Divide County, N.D. to serve Samson wells that are currently being serviced by trucks.
