LAFAYETTE, La. — The Louisiana Gulf Coast Oil Exposition (LAGCOE) honored Alfred J. Thomas II as LAGCOE Looey in recognition of his 50-plus years of service in the oil and gas industry. Thomas’ dedication has molded the industry and his developed improvements have contributed significantly to advancements in oil and gas exploration. As a recognized industry leader, he has explored new ventures in South America, set industry world records and founded multiple companies, always testing the limits and working to improve the status quo. Throughout his career, Thomas has actively participated in professional associations including API, the National Ocean Industries Association and Society of Petroleum Engineers.
