BATON ROUGE, La. — The Water Institute of the Gulf, an independent applied research institute focused on solutions to challenges in coastal, deltaic, river and water resource systems, has hired Kai Midboe as director of policy research and general counsel. Midboe, who retired recently from the McGlinchey Stafford law firm, is a veteran of natural resource and environmental law. He will focus on water resource policy issues. He will also serve as general counsel to the institute, providing legal advice in the development of policies, procedures and programs.
