LINCOLNSHIRE, Ill. — E. H. Wachs® has released its new Large Diameter Split Frame (LDSF) for cold cutting, beveling, facing and counterboring on large diameter pipes and vessels. Picking up where its midsize split frame (clamshells) leaves off, only four standard LDSF sizes will cover a range from 60 inches to 120 inches outside diameter. The E.H. Wachs LDSF has been engineered to incorporate new advancements to make it stronger, faster to set up, faster to operate and even more versatile than its Heavy Duty Split Frame models.
The internal, full roller bearing construction contributes to the LDSF’s smooth operation and long service life. Spring loaded, outside diameter tracking slides are available for irregularly shaped or out-of-round pipe and vessels, allowing the tooling to maintain continuous contact with the work piece.
