NEDERLAND, Texas — Petrochemical and refining industry workers in Texas will have easier access to safety and health training through a new agreement between the Industrial Safety Training Council (ISTC) and the Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service (TEEX).
TEEX operates an OSHA Training Institute Education Center located in Mesquite, Texas, and provides OSHA courses as well as other training in OSHA’s Region VI states of Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, Oklahoma and New Mexico.
ISTC has been designated a TEEX Cooperative Learning Center (CLC), authorizing them to teach TEEX safety and health classes within the council’s service area. The CLC agreement means ISTC has been approved as a host site to deliver designated TEEX courses using its own qualified instructors and facilitators.
