SALT LAKE CITY — RMF — Rocky Mountain Fabrication recently completed mechanical installation of the 18 field-erected tanks at the Dakota Prairie Refinery in Dickinson, North Dakota. The project marks the first refinery to be built on U.S. soil since 1976, and the first new refinery and second largest project for RMF. The tanks range in size from 52 feet in diameter by 40 feet tall, up to 117 feet in diameter by 40 feet tall, and are built to store crude oil, diesel fuel, naptha and water.
RMF’s four core values of safety, quality, integrity and innovation lent themselves heavily to the successful completion of the project. The company’s extensive experience-driven understanding of what makes the industry work is complemented by the team’s specialized skills in tank fabrication and erection for the chemical, petrochemical, water/wastewater, mining and other various industries.
RMF focuses on both new construction and maintenance and can answer the demands of any size project. RMF is strategically headquartered in Salt Lake City, with a new office opening soon in the Houston area.
