From industrial and chemical processes through shipbuilding to building management, ARI-Armaturen can look back on a tradition of more than 60 years as an experienced partner for control, isolation, safety, relief and steam trapping of liquid and gaseous media. ARI manufactures high-quality, heavy-duty valves in line with the latest standards at four different locations — three in Germany and the recently added plant in Houston.
Established in 1950, the privately owned ARI group employs a staff of more than 900 and is today a successful player on the international stage. Fourteen sales subsidiaries in the United Kingdom, Denmark, France, Austria, United States, China, Malaysia, Singapore, Russia, Spain, United Arab Emirates, Italy and India, as well as a network of sales partners in more than 50 countries world-wide, guarantee ARI sales and service support around the globe.
In 2004, the ARI-Armaturen USA office was opened to serve the North American market including the United States, Canada and Mexico. This office promotes and sells the full line of ARI products including control valves, semi-nozzle safety valves, bellows seal manual globe valves, butterfly valves, triple offset butterfly valves and a complete line of steam traps. Since the opening of this office, ARI-USA has steadily increased sales and created product awareness for the ARI brands in the U.S. market. ARI has consistently added new products and product lines to meet the demands and requirements of its growing customer base.
Listening to customers brought ARI to its first manufacturing plant outside of Germany. Prior to 2009, ARI manufactured only semi-nozzle valves in its safety valve line. Customers requested ARI manufacture an API 526, full nozzle safety relief valve. As a result, in 2009, ARI made the decision to add this valve to its line of products. In order to bring the valve to market quickly, ARI looked for a partner already manufacturing a high-quality API safety relief valve.
In 2010, ARI-Armaturen found that partner in Houston and signed an agreement to become 50-percent owners of the Reyco line of API safety relief valves. The joint venture company became AR Safety Systems LP. The Reyco valve design is well known, established worldwide and allowed ARI to quickly move into this market. The 53,000-square-foot facility became ARI-Armaturen’s first manufacturing plant outside of Germany. The past three years have been spent refining workflow patterns, integrating ARI quality control standards and building inventory to assure the customer receives the valve he needs quickly and at a fair price.
In May, ARI-Armaturen took over full 100-percent ownership of this line of safety relief valves. The Reyco name becomes ARI-REYCO and will be fully integrated in with the many other brands by ARI. The emphasis is on quick turnaround for customers and in many cases valves can ship the same day for expedited orders. In addition, the ARI-REYCO safety relief valve is available in specialty alloys such as Monel and Hastelloy. These special alloys are available for both the trim and complete valves.
In July, the ARI-USA office relocated into the ARI-REYCO manufacturing facility at 6614 Dixie Drive in Houston. Customers now will be able to call on one location for all their different valve needs. The integrated company, ARI-Armaturen USA LP, will be customers’ one-stop shop for safety relief valves, control valves, globe valves and steam traps. The larger facility will now allow ARI to maintain a bigger inventory of control, manual and relief valves, which translates to quicker shipments. The combined management and sales teams have many years of experience in the valve industry and are trained in assisting with the most difficult project challenges. Call today for all of your valve needs. ARI-Armaturen USA LP will be glad to assist you.
