ExxonMobil claimed responsibility for a refined product pipeline leak reported last week in Guadalupe County, Texas. Via KSAT, cleanup crews were still working on Sunday to remove contaminated dirt in rural Marion. Representatives from both ExxonMobil and Koch were on the scene to determine which company was at fault. Both firms own pipelines that run through the area.
The pipeline that leaked delivers refined products from Baytown to south Houston and San Antonio. ExxonMobil said it would refrain from restarting the pipeline until it is safe to do so.
