Ergon Refining will invest $150 million to expand its base oil refinery in Vicksburg, Miss., the company announced today. Ergon will enhance the refinery’s crude distillation unit, modify its base oil hydrotreaters and expand its tank farm to store new products. The project will allow the refinery to process a greater variety of crudes and optimize capabilities installed during a $250 million expansion in 2009.
Ergon has invested $600 million into its base oil refineries in Vicksburg and Newell, W.Va., over the past 10 years. It global distribution footprint includes terminals in Europe, Latin America, the Middle East, Africa and Asia.
